Dr, Rapson is the co-director of the SUNY Oneonta planetarium. She also mentors graduate student interns from the CGP Museum Studies program and teaches them how to present planetarium shows to people of all ages. Her students also create planetarium visuals and show components that are shared with all Digistar systems across the globe. Betelgeuse’s Galactic Vacation: An Alien’s Search for Planets is a full-length planetarium show written, produced, and recorded by Cooperstown Graduate Program student Mackenzie Sadler. It follows an alien named Betelgeuse as he explores different planets within and beyond our solar system in search of a hospitable place for a relaxing vacation. The show is geared towards ages 8 and up, and is freely available to download on any Digistar System through the Digistar Cloud library.
